D. Craig Horn of Weddington, NC, announced his candidacy for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives, District 68, in western Union County.  Craig and his wife Lorraine live in the Weddington Hills subdivision.  Craig is a volunteer at Weddington High School and Weddington Elementary School and serves on the Board of Directors of Weddington Hills Homeowners Association.

On May 4, 2010, Craig won the Republican Primary, with 62% of the vote. In a statement, Craig thanked everyone for the "great job done by so many volunteers and supporters.  We look forward to the challenges ahead and will depend on everyone to keep in touch, voice their opinions and keep me focused on what is important to our community, our county and our state."
